Meet Kristin

I love to laugh; the really loud, boisterous kind. My ideal morning begins with a vanilla latte. Okay, fine. A Starbucks grande vanilla non-fat latte, extra hot with no foam {please don’t hate me}. If I knew as much about history and geography as I did movie lines and song lyrics, I’d belong in MENSA. I love a good glass of wine as much as I love a cold beer, preferably coupled with great conversation. I rock bright clothing and firmly believe that things are better with a bit of sparkle.

I met the love of my life when I was 20, although, we did not know it yet. Life took us our separate ways, but we found our way back to one another a decade later. I’m not sure I believe in soulmates, but I do know there are days when I truly feel that my husband was made with me in mind. We welcomed our first son on December 30th and, now with our little family, I know that all-consuming love.

My Detroit roots are solid. I was born in the ‘D’, have always lived in the surrounding suburbs and received a full academic scholarship to Wayne State University in Detroit, where I earned my finance degree {nerd alert!}. I have since worked for the man in the heart of Detroit at the RenCen in Corporate America and I appreciate the left-brain/right-brain balance that my career and photography bring. Before {kgP}, redecorating was my creative outlet {channelling my interior designer!} and to this day I have a love/hate relationship with Potterybarn.

I also recognize that choosing the right photographer for you can be a daunting task; I know because I’ve gone through it first-hand. My portraits above were taken by different photographers at different milestones in my own life and I certainly did not take this selection lightly.

There is no doubt that custom photography is an investment. You will be dedicating a lot of thought, time, and money into this moment. You want to be sure you choose wisely the first time — because, well, let’s face it: you barely have time to do it once, let alone time {or money!} to repeat it. Above all else, I want to be sure we are the perfect fit and that I am able to give you exactly what it is you are looking for. What you see on this blogsite and my FB feed are my heart+soul. If these images resonate with you and your life, then I will be honored to be the one chosen to preserve your own memories and absolutely cannot wait to connect with you! xo

Much love,
